Time to Talk

Mental Health issues are no longer being swept under the carpet and hope they go away, and today is #timetotalk day.

It’s been created to encourage people to talk about, and talk to people with mental health issues, even if it’s just to ask if someone is ok, and get that conversation started, which for so many people is really difficult.

It’s much easier to ask if someone is ok, or wants to talk, rather than waiting for them to start that awkward conversation. I think it’s great that this is a thing, but the videos created in this country are a little bit lacking, and maybe should take more of a cue from the ‘Seize the Awkward’ campaign across the pond.

For me these video work so well, they have subtle humour and most importantly makes you feel that it wouldn’t be that hard to just ask, ‘are you ok?’ Watch the video, and visit the site too, which works really well as a combined site and video piece.

Hopefully, this style could maybe be used here too in the future. If you want to find out more about #timetotalk check out their site.
