Videofrog raises the roof – literally!

We’ve always been proud of our Videofrog studio. It’s a great hireable space that’s designed by video producers, for video producers. It’s easy to get to from anywhere in the south and, over the last decade, loads of quality video has been shot here for some very well-known clients.

Earlier this year, as part of a major refurbishment, we literally raised the ceiling on what you can achieve at videofrog. By increasing the height of the studio to 3.1m, you now have more framing options than ever and greater scope to capture just the right shot.

In addition, we’re also pleased to announce that the Videofrog Studio is now powered entirely by clean energy thanks to 99 solar panels on our roof, generating up to 40kW of power. All our electricity comes from either the panels or from our 100%-renewable grid supply. Combined with our ground source heating pump and LED lighting, we’re making an intentional effort to lower our carbon footprint and in turn, yours too.

As well as that extra height advantage, we’re giving our clients more control over lighting, white balance and even colour by adding four new Aputure Nova P300c’s to the lighting rig. Without getting too technical, this is state-of-the-art kit that does clever things like improve skin tone accuracy, so you can better manage the look and feel of your shoot to achieve exactly what you had in mind.

During the refurb, we also took the opportunity to further invest in our insulation and soundproofing too, so we’re confident you’ll always get the perfect acoustic environment for recording high-quality audio.

Dry hire rates start at just £300 for a half day or £450 for a full day, Monday to Friday.

  Not everyone is immediately comfortable in front of the camera. That’s why we created a balcony with gallery area, so that your presenters and contributors can relax and settle in.
• Full kitchen facilities
  Our on-site kitchen is kitted out to catering standard, so it’s ideal for looking after crew or if you want to shoot culinary content.
• Comprehensive equipment and services
  Makeup and dressing room, edit suites, meeting room, on-site technicians, superfast wi-fi, gigabit ethernet… it’s all right here, and plenty more besides. You can shoot everything from corporate presentations and training videos to product demos and panel sessions – even live streaming – from this one location.
