Competition in the hotel industry in seaside towns such as Bournemouth is high. Hotel Collingwood believed that potential customers might not be aware of what they offer. The brief for the video was to showcase and share the facilities and atmosphere of the family-friendly hotel.
By using mainly location footage with motion graphics to add information, the video is upbeat and fun.
It also needed to express the fun and activities of Bournemouth itself, more encouragement to stay in the town and in particular, Hotel Collingwood.
All people featured in the video were either staff or guests of the hotel at the time and were keen to take part, based on their own experience.
